During my last year at secondary, the drama department decided to put on a production of 'A Midsummer Nights dream'. This was my first real opportunity to experience what being backstage on a show was like, rather than performing. I chose to do the marketing as I felt it was an easy starting point. I was put on a team with some students from younger years, who ultimately did not end up pulling their weight. I mainly focused on the programme for the show, attending every rehearsal to take photos and individual shots, working on the layout and design in my own time at home. One of my closest friends stage managed the show, and I also ended up volunteering to work front of house, as well as filming all three performances (which just so happened to line up with a three day long heatwave).
